OC Drone Photography participated in the Science Heads (HAB6) High Altitude Balloon Launch, which is part of a STEM Education and Science Literacy Program.
We were part of the (RECOM) Recovery Team, in addition to filming the launch with drones.
The balloon with the science experiments flew to an altitude of 109,297 feet (20.7 miles) and traveled 134 miles! The flight took 2 hours. We recovered it east of Joshua Tree National Park in Riverside County.
